Big Head Todd and the Monsters

Just had a meeting with the band to get some insider information on what's happening for the rest of 2010. Looks like we will be busy. The tour dates are starting to roll in, and it would appear that we will be on the road quite a bit. The complete list is below, with many more dates to be confirmed in the upcoming weeks.

Some highlights...

Council Bluffs, IA - We love the Whiskey Roadhouse at the Horseshoe Casino. Always packed and always fun. It's the first show of the summer tour.
St Louis, MO - Another year at the Rib Fest. Guess what we eat there every year. Yup. RIBS.
Isle Of Palms, SC - Three nights at our favorite Beach Club, the Windjammer. What kind of flavored Vodka this year, Bobby?
Morrison, CO - Red Rocks - This year marks the 20th anniversary of Midnight Radio, and we plan on celebrating in style. You will here the record in its entirety. Plan on an amazing light show, unparalleled audio, and a monstrous surprise of which I am sworn to secrecy.

We will spend a weekend in New England, a night with Johnny Lang in Saratoga drinking wine, a couple weeks on the west coast, a handful of "fairs" in the midwest with the BoDeans, a weekend in TEXAS and then on to the southeast, and a long northeast trip that will include my home town of Philadelphia. And you will be happy to know that whenever she is available, Hazel Miller will join us out on the road.

And Amidst All Of This Craziness, A NEW ALBUM.
The band is putting the final touches on their next release. It will drop on JULY 20th, but you'll be able to pre-order it from our merch store soon. There are a bunch of songs on there that the band is considering for their first single to push to radio. It's exciting to know that there are some strong contenders, so you'll hear some of them at our live shows. Let us know which catch your ear.

Will I Hear It On The Radio?
BHTM has put a plan together to work with radio stations to give us the opportunity to be heard on radio all across the country this summer and fall. It includes making a promo trip immediately after the record comes out to visit stations for interviews and live on air performances. We will also visit a bunch of intimate clubs to play some exclusive radio sponsored sets to showcase the band's new music, mixed in with some oldies but goodies of course.

Your job is to react to hearing the band's latest cut on the radio by calling them up or emailing them to insist that they play it again because you are digging on it. Deal? We appreciate that. Believe it or not, this is still how it's done to a great extent.

May We Get Your Autographs Please?
Over the years, the band members have made their best attempt to make themselves available to sing autographs after shows. This process can sometimes be difficult to pull off, and depends on many factors, including security personnel on hand, physical venue limitations, time crunch to move our way out of town, Todd's voice and his ability to speak after singing without jeopardizing his chances of being able to sing the next day, to name a few. Bottom line for the rest of 2010-- When we can do it, we will. And when we will, we will have a sign at the merchandise area indicating our intention to sign. All you have to do for us in return is grab a shirt or hat or CD to be signed (take off the shrink wrap!!!), form an orderly line that we can all be proud of, not clog up the line too long with cameras, and this will result in a positive experience for all!

Thanks For All The Cool Presents
I never realized that by asking for some jawbreakers on the message boards, we would be inundated by everything from chocolate chip cookies to dry flies for fly fishing. You are the most considerate fans out there. And we truly do appreciate all the neat gifts that find their way to our tour bus and to our office. I just wish there was a such thing as diet cookies.....

Seriously, I came here 20 years ago and now I'm a famous Tour Manager for a rock band, ha ha. And the weather, the Red Rocks Park, the night sky, the skyline, the heat lightning, the vibe.... the energy from the fans literally flows down the steps to the stage. The goosebumps are indescribable.

See You Out There
2010 is shaping up nicely. We know you have busy lives. Jobs, families, yard work, sports on TV..... Just promise to bookmark our tour page so that when we book our show in your area, you'll find out, order up a couple pairs tix from our web site (they are generally cheaper than other ticket outlets, like Ticketmaster), and plan a nice night out with us for some old, some new, some rock, some roll, some rhythm, some soul. We will do our best to keep ticket prices moderately priced so that will not be an obstacle. It's important for all of our fans to know that for this band, the live show is successful when we see people moving and grooving and singing the words (even the wrong ones), smiling, and even throwing napkins on the stage with song requests.
